Schools announce holidays till July 11!!

Another week has been given to schools as a holiday. Schools are closed for another week in sri lanka due to fuel shortages.

Neighboring sri lanka is mired in an unprecedented economic crisis. The people of the country are facing severe hardships in many ways such as shortage of food, medicines, fuel, insufficient electricity and lack of medical services. Due to this economic crisis, people's protests broke out in sri lanka, and the government led by Mahinda Rajapakse resigned and Ranil Wickremesinghe took over as the new Prime Minister. But even after that, problems and crises did not decrease there.
Due to fuel shortage, live classes in schools have been canceled and online classes have been conducted in sri lanka for the past few days. Today, while it was announced that schools will be reopened and live classes will be held, due to severe fuel shortage, it has been announced that schools will be closed for another week.
The Sri Lankan government has also announced that it is planning to conduct the missing subjects in the upcoming holiday season. Sri Lankan education Secretary nihal Ransinghe has advised to take online classes during this period. It has been ordered that electricity should not be cut off between 8 am and 1 pm for online education.
