The overall number of infected people on campus has risen to 78 after 18 more people at the IIT campus in chennai were confirmed to be infected with corona. Last Thursday, a student sleeping at the Mandakini hostel at IIT chennai Kindi was diagnosed with corona infection. Following that, three of the students who had been in contact were tested, and 18 of them were found to be infected.
As a result, the health service ramped up the trial and encouraged everyone to be tested. The number of corona infections gradually rose after that. Until yesterday, the number of corona victims on the IIT campus has increased to 60. In this situation, 600 participants were subjected to a new corona test yesterday. According to health experts, 18 of these have been confirmed.
So far, 78 of the 2,058 corona tests conducted at IIT chennai have been confirmed. Those who have been diagnosed with the virus are isolated and monitored by doctors. Some people had a minor temperature and sore throat, according to the health authority, and would be admitted to Guindy Kings Corona Hospital if necessary and they will be given prior attention.
