Uniforms have been provided to students at a government school in kozhikode, Kerala. This initiative has been commenced to eliminate gender differences. The search for gender equality around the world has begun to travel in various dimensions. government school in kozhikode, kerala has introduced bise-xual uniforms to promote gender equality from the school. A government high school in Balussery, kozhikode district, has brought this uniform for students in grade 11 class. Accordingly, today more than 200 girls (students) came to school wearing shirts and pants like boys.


Minister of Higher education R. bindu launched state-wise gender equality in uniform for school students online. Speaking at the launch, she said, “We are preparing for a new Kerala. Children need to be educated towards an independent and equitable environment. They should read without worrying about anything. Gender equality uniforms build confidence in women. Comfort is paramount. Conservatism will always oppose such changes. Do not be afraid of it. Currently, 60 students were boys out of 260 students in the grade 11 class at this government school. According to the school principal Indhu, the change of uniform was discussed and approved by many parents. No dress code was imposed on anyone.
