Milk Consumption: kerala Co-operative Milk Marketing Federation is known by its trade name Milma. It is a cooperative society owned by the state government. It has also been said on behalf of Milma that the sale of curd on onam this year was also at a record level.


Kerala government-owned milk cooperative Milma has sold a record (highest ever) sale of milk, curd, and its products on the occasion of onam this year. This year the festival of onam was celebrated from 4th to 7th September. There has been a big increase in the sale of milk and its products this year as compared to last year.


According to the information given by Milma, a total of 94,59,576 liters of milk was sold during this period, which is 11.12% more than the last year's Onam. The highest sale of 35,11,740 liters of milk was done on Thiruvonam on september 8. The sale of milk on this day registered an increase of 7.03% over the previous year.

KS Mani, Chairman, Milma said that the organization has been able to achieve this record-breaking achievement due to the collective efforts and the trust of the consumers in its products. Mani said, “Though domestic milk production has come down, necessary arrangements were made in collaboration with milk marketing associations in tamil Nadu, Karnataka, and maharashtra to meet this deficit.
