After 125 days, India's Covid-19 tally drops.



On Tuesday, india reported its lowest daily Covid-19 cases in over four months, with 30,093 new cases of coronavirus illness, according to data from the Union Ministry of health and Family Welfare. On march 16, India's Covid-19 tally fell below 30,000 for the first time, with 28,903 new cases reported.

In the previous 24 hours, 374 people have died in the country as a result of Covid-19, bringing the total death toll to 414,482. This is also India's lowest death toll in more than three months. On march 30, India's death toll fell below 400, with 354 people killed.

The number of active Covid-19 cases dropped by 15,535 in the previous 24 hours, bringing the total number of infections in the country to 406,130, according to statistics from the health ministry. These infections account for 1.35 percent of all infections in the country. In the previous 24 hours, at least 45,254 individuals have recovered from the deadly illness, bringing India's recovery rate to 97.32 percent.

So far, 38.14 crore Covid vaccine doses have been delivered in india as part of the country's immunisation programme. More than 40 lakh pills had been administered in the previous 24 hours.
