No Visa for indians, iran Govt's Notice..!!?
Countries around the world are gradually relaxing visa requirements to improve relations with india, boost trade with india, and attract indians as tourists. iran has now joined the ranks of Sri Lanka, thailand and Malaysia. The government of iran has announced that citizens of around 33 countries, including india and gulf countries, will waive the visa requirement to enter Iran. Through this, iran has started an effort to develop transparency and engagement with the world.
While Iran's economy has been crippled by the US and other superpowers' embargo, it has been operating without contact with the rest of the world. In this situation, the Iranian government has exempted the citizens of 33 countries from the visa requirement to show commitment on an international basis. With this new announcement, the government of iran accepts people from around 45 countries without visas. Iran's IRNA news agency reported that the decision was taken to attract more tourists. The government wants to open the doors of iran to the world. Esadullah Zargami said that this decision was taken very boldly and courageously by the government.
According to the Ministry of External Affairs, indian government officials are currently visa-exempt when they travel to iran on government work. Today's announcement also extends to holders of ordinary indian passports. It is worth noting that kenya has recently announced the abolition of visa requirements for all national travelers.
