Corning Inc., which is coming to tamilnadu from America, is going to set up a new production site in Pillipakkam near Sriperumbudur on an area of about 25 acres. The 25-acre manufacturing site to be set up at Pillipakkam, Sriperumbudur, will be jointly managed by US company Corning Inc. along with its indian partner Optiemus Infracom. Union minister Ashwini Vaishnava said in october that the factory would produce around 30 million Gorilla Glass per year.
