Keeping in view the increase in the number of people traveling in mumbai AC local trains, Western Railway has decided to start 31 more services from October. Currently, 48 AC services run between Churchgate and Virar on Western Railway. In such a situation, things are in the final phase regarding the timetable of 31 new AC trains that will be run.

With the addition of new trains, the total number of suburban services will reach 1,383. There has been a rapid increase in the number of people traveling in AC locals during peak hours in Mumbai. At present Western Railway runs one thousand 375 services on weekdays. According to the data, the average number of passengers in august 2022 was 56 thousand. But in september there was a big increase and this figure reached 71 thousand.
