Married 10 Days, Then She Vanished With ₹4 Lakh Gold – Now Demanding ₹50K Monthly or Fake Rape Charges
A 41-year-old man from surat thought he was finally beginning a new chapter in life after finding a match through Shaadi.com. Instead, he now claims the marriage turned into a financial and emotional disaster within days. What began as a hopeful search for companionship has spiraled into allegations of manipulation, threats, and betrayal that have left many stunned.
According to the man, he connected with a Mumbai-based woman named archana through the matrimonial platform. Before the wedding, she reportedly made one condition crystal clear — she would not live in a joint family setup. Eager to make the relationship work, the groom agreed without hesitation.
But the demands allegedly didn’t stop there.
The woman’s father reportedly asked for ₹3 lakh to cover wedding expenses. The groom’s family says they managed to arrange ₹2 lakh, while also spending heavily on jewellery, wedding clothes, and other arrangements to ensure the marriage happened smoothly.
The couple tied the knot on february 3, 2026.
However, the groom now alleges that things changed almost immediately after the wedding. He claims archana repeatedly avoided physical intimacy and remained emotionally distant throughout the short marriage.
Then came the shock.
Just 10 days after the wedding, she allegedly returned to her father’s house in Mumbai, taking gold and silver jewellery worth nearly ₹3.93 lakh, including a mangalsutra, gold necklace, nose pin, and silver anklets.
The man says all communication stopped after that.
When he later travelled to Mumbai, hoping to convince her to return, he claims she refused outright. He further alleges that she threatened to file a false rape case against him and demanded ₹50,000 per month as maintenance if he wanted a divorce.
The allegations are now drawing intense reactions online, with many calling it yet another disturbing case of trust collapsing behind the façade of an arranged marriage.
