In a major boost to tamil Nadu’s technology infrastructure, M. K. Stalin laid the foundation stone for the establishment of TIDEL Neo Parks in Tirunelveli, Virudhunagar, and Erode districts at a total cost of ₹117.65 crore.

Expanding IT Infrastructure Beyond Chennai

The new TIDEL Neo Parks are part of the tamil Nadu government’s initiative to decentralize information technology growth and promote industrial development in tier-2 and tier-3 cities. By expanding IT infrastructure beyond Chennai, the government aims to generate employment opportunities and foster regional economic growth.

The project is expected to attract IT and IT-enabled services (ITES) companies, startups, and technology-driven enterprises to these districts.

Boost to Employment and local Economy

According to official sources, the TIDEL Neo Parks will create substantial direct and indirect employment opportunities for local youth. The initiative is designed to reduce migration to metropolitan cities by bringing high-quality job opportunities closer to home.

The development is also expected to stimulate allied sectors such as real estate, retail, hospitality, and transportation in Nellai, Virudhunagar, and Erode.
