M. K. Stalin will tomorrow (26 Feb 2026) lay the foundation stones for three new
Tidal Neo Parks via video conferencing from the Secretariat. The announcement was made through an official release by the tamil Nadu government.
Project Details and LocationsThe three new tidal parks are planned in the following districts, with the estimated project costs:
Tirunelveli district – Tidal park at Rettayarpatti village worth ₹39.06 crore
Virudhunagar district – Tidal park at Koorai‑kundu village worth ₹38.72 crore
Erode district – Tidal park at Gangapuram village worth ₹39.87 croreEach park is expected to create new employment opportunities for approximately
600 IT professionals. These parks form part of the state’s plan to boost information technology growth outside of major cities.
About Tidal Neo ParksThe
Tidal Neo Parks are mini IT parks being developed under the
Tidal Neo Limited initiative. They are designed with modern infrastructure and built‑up areas ranging from 50,000 to 100,000 square feet to support IT and technology companies, start‑ups, and related services. The parks aim to generate local jobs, especially for educated youth, and promote socio‑economic growth in smaller cities and towns.Earlier facilities have already been opened in various tamil Nadu districts, and other parks are under construction or planned across the state.
