UIDAI has launched a new full‑featured Aadhaar mobile app that’s replacing the older mAadhaar version. This app brings in all major Aadhaar actions into one place — from updates to secure sharing to family management.

👨👩👧👦 2. Manage Your Entire Family’s Aadhaar from One Place

One of the biggest changes is the ability to add and manage up to five Aadhaar profiles in the app — meaning your own Aadhaar and those of your spouse, children, parents, or any family members — all in one dashboard.

📲 3. Update mobile Numbers & Addresses Easily

The new app has built‑in tools to update your Aadhaar‑linked mobile number or address directly through your phone without visiting a centre. 📡 5. Offline Verification (No Internet Needed)

The app supports offline Aadhaar verification — so for things like hotel check‑ins or official identity checks, you can prove your Aadhaar without needing an internet connection or sharing sensitive digits.

🔐 6. biometric Lock for Extra Safety

You can now lock or unlock your fingerprint, data-face or iris data directly from the app to prevent misuse if someone tries to use your Aadhaar details without consent.

📊 7. Keep Track of Activity & History

The app logs your authentication history, so you can see where and when your Aadhaar was used — adding another layer of transparency and control.

🗣️ 8. Designed for All Indians

UIDAI has launched this app in 13 indian languages and made it available on both Android and iOS platforms, aiming to make Aadhaar management easier for citizens across the country.

📎 Why It Matters to Families

📌 Previously, Aadhaar was individual‑centric — each adult managed their own card. Now, family heads or designated members can keep profiles together and make updates more smoothly. This is especially helpful for children, elderly parents, and dependents who may not always manage updates themselves.
