Every year, lakhs of students compete against themselves rather than other candidates to become civil servants in the notoriously difficult UPSC exam; success frequently requires several attempts. Due to the small number of available positions, the coveted IAS position attracts fierce competition.
 
Some people's initial goals remain unfulfilled even after clearing the tests and landing an IAS position. indian Foreign service (IFS) officer Vidushi Singh is a shining example; at the early age of 21, he set a record by passing the UPSC.

Who is IFS Vidushi Singh?
According to her LinkedIn page, Vidushi Singh, who was born in Jodhpur, Rajasthan, but hails from Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh, earned a Bachelor of Arts with Honors in economics from delhi University's Shri ram college of Commerce in 2021.

How IFS Vidushi Singh prepared for UPSC exam?
Without the aid of any official coaching, Vidushi, who is 21 years old, passed the UPSC exam on her first try.  She started preparing for the UPSC throughout her undergraduate years by thoroughly studying NCERT textbooks and other resources to develop a strong foundation of knowledge.  She also took part in a considerable number of practice tests and test series.

Why did Vidushi Singh not become an IAS officer?
Vidushi chose the IFS over the indian Administrative Officer (IAS) job, despite the fact that many UPSC applicants want to become IASs. Her willingness to stray from the usual course and pursue a career that more closely fits with her long-term goals and passions is demonstrated by her choice.
 
In the UPSC Civil services (Main) Examination of 2022, Vidushi Singh received an All india Rank (AIR) of thirteenth.  She received 184 points in the personality test, which is the interview phase, and 855 points in the written exam, for a total of 1039 points. economics was one of her elective subjects.

Vidushi selected the IFS over the IAS or IPS in spite of her high rank. She revealed in a media interview that she chose this job in order to fulfill her grandparents' wish for her to join the indian Foreign service and represent india abroad.  She is currently employed in the indian Embassy in paris as the Third Secretary (LT).
