Lack of Sèx Is The Main Reason For Divorce In India !?!

SIBY JEYYA
Although it isn't a clear and explicit reason for divorce in india, "lack of sex" may play a role in divorce proceedings.  According to the Hindu marriage Act of 1955 and other legislation, indian courts acknowledge that long-term refusal of sexual relations without a good explanation might amount to mental cruelty, which is a legitimate reason for divorce.  Therefore, if the other spouse experiences mental or emotional distress as a result of the absence of intimacy, a sexless marriage may end in divorce.

This is a more thorough explanation:

No specific grounds
There is no particular provision in indian law that addresses "lack of sex" as a reason for divorce.

Mental Cruelty
Courts have construed the withholding of sexual interactions as a type of mental cruelty, though, especially when it is chronic and lacks a valid basis.

Evidence is key
Evidence is essential. To prevail in a divorce case based on this, the divorcing spouse must demonstrate that the absence of sex has seriously harmed their mental health.

Other factors:
When determining whether a sexless marriage is grounds for divorce, the courts also take into account the marriage's entire context, which includes the couple's emotional bond and other data-facets of their relationship.

Impatience and mental health:
According to some research, a sizable portion of divorces in india are attributed to sexual dissatisfaction, occasionally brought on by one or both couples' medical or mental health problems.
