More job opportunities are available in these cities of the country!
The country's economy is changing. technology is being adopted in every sector. The situation is such that now more employment opportunities are coming from small cities and towns. According to a report by ET, in the first half of the year 2025, small cities from udaipur to Visakhapatnam and coimbatore to nagpur performed better than big cities in terms of recruitment in software and IT sector as compared to the last one year. According to a report by Teamlease, during january to June, more than 50 percent of the hiring took place in tier-II and tier-III cities. Whereas in tier-1 cities like Bengaluru, there was an increase of only 12-15 percent.
One thing is clear from this that in the last few years, there has been a tremendous boom in BFSI, manufacturing, retail and IT sectors in small cities. According to a report by Randstad Talent Insights Report 2025, job opportunities in tier-II cities have increased by about 42 percent, while in tier-1 cities there has been an increase of only 19 percent. Consumption is also increasing rapidly in small cities, infrastructure is developing, education is improving. In such a situation, many companies are turning to these cities keeping in mind the low cost. As a result, work opportunities are increasing here too.
