CM fadnavis said that this bridge is a tribute to our armed forces and their military capabilities. The British-era Carnac Bridge was named after james Carnac, former governor of bombay province. It connects the eastern part of the Central Railway's train track to the western part. It also connects to PD Mellow Road. Carnac was the governor of bombay province from 1839 to 1841. Now that this bridge has been rebuilt, it has been named Sindoor Bridge. After the construction of this bridge, relief from trafficis expected.
