West bengal chief minister mamata banerjee participated in the Vishwa Navkar Mahamantra Diwas program on Wednesday.Here she addressed the people. She said, 'I am asked why you go to the programs for every religion. I tell them that I will always go. Even if you shoot, you cannot remove unity from my mind.'
West bengal chief minister mamata banerjee said on wednesday that the Waqf (Amendment) Act will not be implemented in the state. Addressing a program of the Jain community in Kolkata, mamata said that she will take steps to protect the minority people and their property. She said, 'I know that you are unhappy with the implementation of the Waqf Act. Have faith, nothing will happen in bengal, due to which someone can rule by dividing the society.'

While addressing the vishwa Navkar Mahamantra Diwas program, mamata banerjee said, 'We believe in every tradition, we have learned love for all the religions here since childhood. I am asked why you go to the programs of every religion? I tell them that I will always go. Even if you shoot, you cannot remove unity from my mind. We have festivals of every religion, andtradition. People of all religions pray for humanity.'
The Waqf (Amendment) Bill was passed by the lok sabha last Thursday. After this, the rajya sabha also approved it on friday morning. It was passed after a long debate in both houses of Parliament. President Draupadi Murmu had also given her assent to the bill on Saturday. The central government issued a notification yesterday to implement it.
