This earthquake was felt throughout Myanmar. The earthquake was also felt in the Thai capital Bangkok, the northeastern states of india, the eastern states of China, Cambodia, and Laos. Buildings collapsed in many places like a deck of cards. Myanmar was already facing severe hardships due to civil war and military rule, and this earthquake further worsened the situation. As rescue operations continue there, the death toll in the earthquake has exceeded 1,600. Rescue teams from the international community have also entered the field, and rescue operations have accelerated. The country's military government has now confirmed that more than 1,644 people have died in Myanmar. At the same time, a US agency has predicted that the death toll could reach 10,000. In neighboring thailand, 10 people were killed in an earthquake. An apartment building under construction in the capital Bangkok collapsed. It is feared that workers may have been trapped inside. Rescue efforts are underway. Many buildings have collapsed in Mandalay, Myanmar. The 100-year-old Ava Bridge, built from Sagaing to the Rawat River, collapsed into the water. The damage was so bad. With the damage unprecedented in Myanmar, the military rulers there have requested help from the international community. He requested that help from any country be welcomed.

India was one of the first countries to announce assistance after receiving the news of the Myanmar earthquake. Expressing concern about the earthquake, indian Prime minister Modi said that he was ready to provide the necessary assistance. In this regard, he said, "I was saddened to hear the news of the earthquake in Myanmar and Thailand. We pray for the safety and well-being of everyone. india is also ready to provide the necessary assistance." The indian air Force has already sent 15 tonnes of relief materials, including tents, blankets, water purifiers, and essential medicines, from its Hindon air base to help Myanmar. Under the 'Operation Brahma' program, india is also sending a team of 80 National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) personnel to Myanmar to help in relief and rescue operations.
