The Diplomat, john Abraham's most recent picture, had a strong cast, a good plot, and favorable reviews.  However, movie didn't do well at the box office in spite of these advantages.  The movie concluded its first week at merely ₹19.1 crore, despite opening strongly at ₹4 crore, according to trade analysts. This is a glaring indication that people are no longer attending John's solo flicks.

This is not a unique instance.  Attack, Vedaa, Ek Villain Returns, and mumbai Saga, his most recent solo endeavors, have all had difficulties.  He used to find success with the action thriller genre, but viewer tastes have changed.  Franchise movies like tiger 3 and Pathaan, however, are still doing well.  So, ought john should reconsider his approach? Jim in Pathaan was one part that audiences really connected with.  He was a fan favorite because of his fierce performance and intimidating demeanor. john has shown interest in the rumors about a Pathaan prequel that focuses on Jim's past, stating, "It looks interesting, I hope it happens."

John might have the ideal opportunity to make a huge comeback in a Jim stand-alone movie.  A far bigger audience would be drawn if YRF proceeded with it and featured a 15–20 minute appearance from Shah Rukh Khan's Pathaan.  Fans would adore seeing Jim's ascent and the circumstances surrounding his treachery, especially in light of Pathaan's success.  Although it's clear that John's solo movies aren't doing well, he still has a ton of potential in a successful franchise.  If done right, a Pathaan prequel might be his greatest return to date.  The only thing to wonder is if YRF will make it happen.
