As Mohanlal's L2: Empuraan prepares for its march 27 big-screen debut, speculation regarding its possible run in hindi markets is increasing. The movie's chances of being released in national multiplex chains were first questioned. But now that PVR is actively pushing it and the OTT deal is still open, the prospects appear bright.

This implies that the producers accepted the requirement that the movie only be made available on streaming services eight weeks after its theatrical debut.  L2: Empuraan might get a major release in national cinema chains like PVR, INOX, and Cinepolis across the country, in contrast to some tamil blockbusters like Vijay's GOAT, Rajinikanth's Vettaiyan, and others that refused to accept this provision and were later turned down by multiplexes.

This further demonstrates the creators' confidence in their concept and their lack of haste for its OTT debut.  With advance sales for L2: Empuraan scheduled to begin in india on march 21, 2025, anticipation is growing.  According to Sacnilk, pre-sales have already surpassed 12 crore worldwide, breaking the previous record for a malayalam movie released outside of India.  Australia and other markets have displayed remarkable figures.

As the first malayalam movie to be shown in an IMAX theater, Empuraan is also creating history.  Starring in the movie are Manju Warrier, Tovino Thomas, indrajith Sukumaran, prithviraj Sukumaran, and international actor Jerome Flynn.  All of a sudden, L2: Empuraan is getting more attention.  With a global total of almost 240 crore, Manjummel Boys now holds the record for the highest-grossing malayalam film. The key question now is if it can top that figure.
