The first thriller match of the IPL 2025 series was between delhi and Lucknow. Batting first in this match held in Visakhapatnam, lucknow scored 209 runs for the loss of eight wickets. Unable to reach this score, delhi stumbled at 65 runs and lost 5 wickets. However, the delhi team's Ashutosh Sharma and Vipraj Nigam played brilliantly and helped the team win by one wicket. Commenting on the victory, delhi team captain Axar patel said, "Everyone, be ready. Make this a habit because this is how matches will be under my captaincy. Sometimes the decisions I make are good. So anything can happen. Sometimes the fans can get angry with me. Now we are winning. So nobody will say anything to us. I have watched many matches in the IPL. I have never seen you win a match after losing four wickets in the Powerplay. But cricket is changing now. So stay on the field and play till the end. Show your skills. You can definitely win. As a bowler, the game has become about the mind now. You may think that your bowling will give more runs. But you will take wickets. So it can happen in any way. The lucknow players played well in the first six overs. I think we gave away too many runs in the beginning. We missed some catches. But in the last seven overs, we did a great job and controlled the pace of the lucknow team's run-up.


At one point we thought that lucknow would score more than 250 runs. But they only scored around 200 runs. This has given our players confidence. Our players are working hard.
