The statement further said, "After this accident, Heathrow will remain closed until 23:59 on friday (March 21) keeping in mind the safety of all our passengers and colleagues. Passengers are advised not to travel to the airport and contact the airlines for any further information. We apologize for the inconvenience."A Heathrow airport spokesperson said in a statement to CNN, "We expect to data-face problems for several days to come and passengers should not travel to the airport under any circumstances until the airport reopens."The airport told Al Jazeera, "We are trying to prevent passengers from traveling to the airport. Apart from this, we are talking to our airline partners about delayed, diverted and canceled flights. Passengers can contact our airline partners for rebooking."London fire Brigade gave informationCNN quoted London Fire Brigade in its report, "A power substation caught fire on thursday (March 20) night in Hayes, located just a few miles from the airport. This has disrupted power supply to 16 thousand homes in the area. However, the cause of the fire has not been ascertained yet." Flight tracking website Flightradar24 said, "Global air service has been affected due to the closure of the airport. About 1351 flights have been affected by this incident."
