How Indian National Anthem Was Played During Pak Vs Eng Match At Lahore? PCB Furious And Asks ICC

When the indian national song played for a few seconds at the beginning of Saturday's australia vs. england match in Lahore, the pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) was left feeling humiliated.

The PCB has requested an explanation from cricket's governing body, accusing the ICC of being responsible for the disaster. It all began when australia and england formed a line at Lahore's Gaddafi Stadium before the playing of their national anthems.  When the indian national anthem played for a brief moment before ending, even the onlookers were taken aback.

According to a source close to the ICC, the PCB wrote a letter to the governing body detailing the event and requesting an explanation, as corroborated by news agency PTI. "The PCB has said unequivocally that the ICC must explain, as its personnel are in charge of the Champions Trophy teams' (national anthem) playlist. "Since india is not playing in pakistan, it is hard to understand how their anthem was played by mistake from the playlist," claimed a source.

India is now participating in its fair share of Champions Trophy matches in dubai and had previously declined to visit pakistan due to security concerns.  On Sunday, the traditional rivals will square off in a pivotal encounter; a defeat will exclude pakistan from the competition. In a previous letter to the ICC, the PCB complained that its name logo was not shown on tv screens during Friday's india vs. bangladesh match in Dubai. The PCB was later reassured by the ICC that it was an error.  The three-line horizontal emblem with Pakistan's name will now be used for all games played in Dubai.
