The Plot is simple. How D.Raghavan Become 'Dragon' and how did things unfold after he failed in
college and became successful in life by taking a shortcut?
pradeep Ranganathan clearly understands the pulse of the Gen Z
audience and has crafted a clear entertainment package. The first 40 minutes are literally unbearable. It's more like a torture.
Things get a move on when
anupama parameswaran breaks up with
pradeep and he uses a shortcut to get a fake
college degree and secure a
job in a USA company. The
movie takes cinematic liberties to a greater extent. For instance,
pradeep who has 48 arrears suddenly becomes the Top employee in an MNC with 3 Lakhs INR per month salary. However, the
director has smartly played by showcasing
pradeep as a
gold medalist in
school days.
The second half post-interval was a total riot. It was a complete blast and most of the scenes bring the roofs down with loads of laughter. However, the
movie gets into an emotional zone toward the pre-climax and it becomes a brilliant one as they never justify the hero's wrongdoings. In fact, the message delivered was quite a solid one.
pradeep Ranganathan is a revelation. He is the next big thing in
kollywood after Siva Karthikeyan. His 'Dhanush'-like body
language and mannerisms are a treat to watch.
Kayadu has nothing much to do other than sing a duet in
europe and appear glamorously in a few scenes.
anupama parameswaran gets a neat role comparatively. Mysskin fits the bill perfectly. The rest of the cast have been picked based on the latest YouTube trends and they have done justice to their part.
sneha and
ivana appear as cameos and get a huge response as well. The production values by AGS are rich and technical wise cinematography and songs get special thumbs up.
Overall, A Popcorn Entertainer If You Can Bear The First Bad 40 Minutes!
