Budget 2025: Which items are increasing in price?
According to the announcement made by minister Nirmala Sitharaman in the Union Budget today, we can see which items will increase in price and which items will decrease in price. Finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman presented the government's fiscal policies for the financial year 2025-26 in parliament today. She presented the budget for the eighth consecutive time and read out the main features. Various schemes including an increase in the personal income tax ceiling to Rs. 12 lakh, special schemes for school education and higher education were announced in this budget. Tax hikes and tax exemptions have been announced for some of these schemes.
In particular, the customs duty on LED screens has been increased from 10 percent to 20 percent. Similarly, the customs duty on lithium batteries is to be abolished. The basic customs duty on life-saving medicines has been exempted.

The prices of cell phones, televisions, computers made with LED screens are expected to increase.

Since the tax on 3 cancer drugs has been removed, the prices are expected to decrease.

What is the price of gold and silver?


It was expected that there would be a change in the tax rate on gold and silver jewelry in this budget. However, nothing was announced in the budget about it. It is noteworthy that the prices of gold and silver have been increasing at an unprecedented rate in the last few months.
