ISRO Gets New Chief - Dr V Narayanan Takes Over From S Somnath
Dr. v Narayanan, a distinguished scientist at isro, is the director of the Liquid Propulsion Systems Centre (LPSC) at the moment. He has worked for the indian space organization for about 40 years, holding a number of important posts. Dr. Narayanan is an expert in spacecraft and rocket propulsion.
Serving as the Project director for the GSLV Mk Ill vehicle's C25 Cryogenic Project was one of his notable achievements. He oversaw the team's successful development of the C25 Stage, an essential part of GSLV Mk III.
Interestingly, he was in charge of PSLV C57's control power plants and the realization of PSLV's second and fourth stages. Additionally, he worked on the propulsion systems for the GSLV Mk-Ill missions Chandrayaan-2 and Chandrayaan-3, as well as the Aditya Spacecraft.
Numerous honors and prizes have been given to the isro scientist, including the National Design Award from NDRF, a gold Medal from the Astronautical Society of india (ASI), and a silver Medal from lIT Kharagpur.
