Mukund Varadarajan's mother refused to do Amaran movie..!?
Amaran, a film starring Sivakarthikeyan, was released on the occasion of diwali last year. Directed by director Rajkumar Periyasamy, this film was entirely based on the life of the late army soldier Major Mukund Varadarajan. The film clearly showed everything from his family, love, married life, and the scene of fighting terrorists in the army. Sivakarthikeyan and sai pallavi played many roles in this film. It was well received both at the box office and critically. Amaran is one of the super hit films that came out last year. Kamal Haasan's Rajkamal Films produced this film. No film that came in competition with this film could shine before the story of Amaran. Be it jayam Ravi's Brother or Kavin's Bloody Beggar, neither of them was a big hit.
Amaran, which was released worldwide, has made it to the list of record-breaking films by collecting Rs. 335 crores. This film finally gave a turning point to Sivakarthikeyan, who had been giving consecutive flops. Mukund Varadarajan's wife Rebecca Varghese attended the promotion of this film. They forced her to get married for the second time. But she refused. Now she is living with her daughter in the memory of Mukund Varadarajan. It was in this situation that Mukund Varadarajan's mother attended an event held in Coimbatore. Speaking at that time, she said, "I told not to do Amaran. The reason is that my son's memory keeps coming back. So, it will be very difficult for me. That is why I said not to do the film. But director Rajkumar Periyasamy has convinced me."
