PM Modi laid foundation stone of several projects!
prime minister Narendra Modi on sunday (05 January) inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of several other projects costing more than Rs 12,200 crore, including a 13 km long section of the Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut Namo Bharat Corridor between Sahibabad and New ashok Nagar, which increases connectivity in the National capital Region. Earlier, the prime minister traveled in the Namo Bharat train from Sahibabad RRTS station to New ashok Nagar RRTS station and also interacted with the passengers during this time.
The cost of construction of this part of the Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut Namo Bharat Corridor is about Rs 4,600 crore. With this inauguration, delhi got its first Namo Bharat connectivity. This will benefit millions of passengers between delhi and meerut with better safety and reliability along with fast and comfortable travel.
Inauguration of Metro between Janakpuri and krishna Park
The prime minister also inaugurated the 2.8 km long stretch between Janakpuri and krishna Park under delhi Metro Phase-4, costing around Rs 1,200 crore. This is the first section of delhi Metro Phase-4 to be inaugurated. It will benefit krishna Park, Vikaspuri, some areas of Janakpuri and other adjoining areas of West delhi, an official statement said.
PM lays foundation stone of Rithala-Kundli Metro Corridor
The prime minister also laid the foundation stone of the 26.5 km long Rithala-Kundli section of delhi Metro Phase-4, costing around Rs 6,230 crore. This corridor will connect Rithala in delhi to Nathupur (Kundli) in haryana, greatly improving connectivity in the north-western parts of delhi and Haryana. The major areas to be benefited include Rohini, Bawana, Narela and Kundli, improving access to residential, commercial and industrial areas. The statement said that once this metro section is operational, travel in delhi, haryana and Uttar Pradesh will be facilitated. The prime minister also laid the foundation stone of a new state-of-the-art building for the Central ayurveda Research Institute (CARI) at rohini in New delhi, which will be constructed at a cost of about Rs 185 crore. According to the statement, this complex will provide state-of-the-art healthcare and medical facilities.
