Hair Dye Increases Cancer Risk - Studies Reveal
Chemicals in hair dyes and straighteners can alter hormones in the body, increasing the risk of breast cancer, according to a National Institute of Environmental health Sciences research. The study found that women who often color their hair are between 9% and 60% more likely to get breast cancer. Interestingly, darker hair colors have more adverse consequences.
Additional reasons for breast cancer:
As one age, the risk rises.
The risk is increased by a family history of breast cancer.
hormone replacement treatment, late menopause, or early menstruation.
smoking, drinking alcohol, eating poorly, and not exercising.
Signs of breast cancer include these symptoms:
thickening or lump in the armpit or breast.
alterations to the breast's dimensions, form, or appearance.
modifications to the breast's skin.
discharge of fluid (other from breast milk) from the nipple.
persistent redness or soreness.
