Is this the reason for the death of VJ Chitra's father?
The incident of the suicide of late small-screen and silver-screen actress Chitra's father Kamaraj has created a stir. VJ Chitra, who played the role of Mullai in the serial Pandian Store, stole the hearts of all the young fans. On december 9, 2020, she suddenly committed suicide by hanging herself while staying with her beloved husband Hemnath at a star hotel in Nasarathpet, Chennai. Later, while a case was registered and an investigation was underway regarding this suicide incident, the case was transferred to the Central Crime Branch police through the efforts of Chitra's parents. Similarly, in the statement issued by the Nazarethpet police regarding Chitra's case, it was stated that "Chitra's husband Hemnath's suspicions about her were the reason for this suicide." Similarly, many of Chitra's friends made allegations against Hemnath one after another. During a program attended by serial actress Saranya the day before her suicide, Chitra, who was always cheerful, had said that she was very agitated that day.
Furthermore, Hemant's friend, Rohit, also alleged that hemant had beaten, kicked, and tortured Chitra several times, creating a stir. Although Chitra was said to have suffered many atrocities, Hemnath had filed a petition in the madras high court stating that he had nothing to do with Chitra's suicide. His bail application was rejected several times. Chitra's parents were continuously fighting in court to get Hemnath punished, saying that Hemnath was the cause of the death. While a case was registered against about 7 people in connection with Chitra's death and they were imprisoned, the police were also investigating whether it was suicide or murder.
While the Chitra-Hemnath case had been going on in the Women's Mahila court for the past three years, Judge Revathi, who heard the case, pointed out that there was no evidence, witness, or proxy for Chitra's murder and announced the release of seven people including Hemnath who were arrested in her case. It is said that the sudden release of seven people including Hemnath in august caused great mental distress to Chitra's father. Chitra's father Kamaraj, who was a retired police officer and was saddened every day that the person responsible for his daughter's suicide could not be punished, committed suicide by hanging himself this morning. The police have now seized the body of Chitra's father Kamaraj and sent it for autopsy. It is noteworthy that the family is continuously investigating his suicide. Some facts are missing. The family says that this is the main reason for his death.
