World's largest dam..!! india opposes China's plan..!?
China has decided to build the world's largest dam across the brahmaputra river on the India-China data-border. It is said that this will have a huge impact on india and Bangladesh. The brahmaputra river flows through three countries: china, india and Bangladesh. In india, it is called Brahmaputra and in china, this river is called Yarlung Tsangpo. china is going to build a dam across this river in tibet at a cost of 11 lakh crore rupees. It is said that this will be the largest dam in the world. Similarly, it is said that this is the first time that a huge amount has been allocated for the construction of a dam in the world. The Chinese government has approved a plan to set up a hydroelectric power station in the lower reaches of the Brahmaputra River. For this, this huge dam is going to be built there. china has already built a huge investment in the Three Gorges Dam and is also implementing a hydroelectric power project worth Rs 2500 crore in Tibet. The Chinese government has now approved the implementation of this Brahmaputra Dam project.
China is trying to build a dam in the Tibetan Plateau, which is known as the roof of the earth. Since this is an area prone to frequent earthquakes, experts fear that any damage to this dam will greatly affect not only china but also the people of india and Bangladesh. The fact that china is building this dam in the area adjacent to the Arunachal Pradesh data-border where the brahmaputra river enters india is a major concern for India. Due to this, india believes that china is likely to impose many restrictions including water capacity and the amount of water released. At the same time, if the dam suddenly breaks or floods, it is said that a large amount of water will come and affect the people of india in a big way. But china says that this dam will not cause any harm. Speaking in the Chinese capital Beijing, a spokesperson for the country's foreign ministry said that the dam to be built across the brahmaputra river will not harm india and Bangladesh. He said that china has conducted geological and environmental studies for many years regarding the construction of this dam.

The government says that since this dam is being built in a region with high rainfall in china, it can store a large amount of water there. In addition, the Chinese government says that the hydroelectric power plant to be built there can generate 300 billion kilowatts of electricity per year, which can meet the annual electricity demand of 300 million people. The two countries had already formed an expert group in 2006 to discuss issues related to rivers flowing in the areas along the India-China data-borders. Accordingly, china has agreed to provide india with information on the status of the Brahmaputra and sutlej rivers during floods. china says it will follow suit. However, it is said that the project will not be easy to implement since the place where china wants to build the dam is geographically complex.
