#JusticeForRishi and #JusticeForAtulSubhash began trending on X amid the outcry around the suicide of 34-year-old Atul Subhash in Bengaluru. According to his brother Omji Trivedi, Rishi Trivedi also committed suicide on december 27, 2023, as a result of "emotional abuse" he received from his wife.

Omji has used social media to draw attention to the similarities between his brother's case and the circumstances that led to Atul Subhash's death. "My brother, like Atul Subhash, was motivated to end his life because of the intolerable abuse he received from his wife, Shikha Awasthi. He killed himself on december 27, 2023, since he could no longer stand her nastiness," Omji stated in a post on X.

According to The Logical indian, Omji said that Shikha, Rishi's wife, arrived from her parents' house after his death and wanted Rs 5 lakh. She allegedly threatened to deny them the opportunity to perform Rishi's last rites if they failed to pay. "She insulted us, shouted in the street, and hurled abuses at our family," Omji stated.

He said that despite their complaint, the cops disregarded them. To satisfy his wife's purported financial demands, Omji said Rishi drove a cab and worked 12–14 hours a day. Omji was reported by The Logical indian as stating, "She frequently woke him up at five in the morning and repeatedly told him to die." He went on to say, "He felt trapped and alone,"
