39-Year-Old Dental Surgeon Dies After Running Marathon

In an interview with The indian Express, his father, Dr. Dnyaneshwar Kudalkar, a former chief medical officer at Mormugao Port Trust hospital, said: "I'm speechless. He began his day with some exercise and training because he was so fit. He participated in several bike and running competitions in recent years and took home prizes.
He said that his kid complained of some "discomfort" in his stomach and shoulder when he got home after the marathon.
"He claimed to be ill and to want to take it easy. He was laying in bed for almost an hour around 12.30 p.m. After throwing up and drinking some water, he passed out on the bed. All of us in the family are doctors. We attempted CPR on him, but he was not reacting. After we hurried him to a Chicalim hospital, they pronounced him dead. "I believe he had a severe heart attack," he continued.

"We competed in different categories," said Jitendra Dhyani, a friend of Dr. Kudalkar's and his running partner, who also ran the marathon. I completed the entire 42.2-kilometer marathon. We crossed paths twice during the race, and he was perfectly okay. He had already finished his race and was waiting for me at the finish line. His wife and kid, who had also competed in the 5-kilometer division, were photographed by him. He then complained of acidity, and the venue's medical team evaluated him. However, he was deemed healthy and returned home.
"We both recently participated in a marathon in Mangalore," Dhyani continued. This has surprised me.
The goa Badminton Association expressed its sorrow at Dr. mithun Kudalkar's tragic and premature passing in a statement.
He was an avid fitness fanatic who loved running, cycling, and badminton. He inspired many with his passion for health while actively participating in badminton competitions and other sports events, according to the association.
