Director K.S. Ravikumar's mother Rukmani Ammal, who directed many super hit films in tamil cinema, passed away due to ill health and old age.
K.S. ravikumar worked as an assistant director for many directors like Bharathiraja, Vikraman, Nagesh, and Ramarajan. Subsequently, in 1990, K.S. ravikumar made his directorial debut with the film 'Puriyada Puthir'. Produced by RP Chowdhury, the film starred four actors, namely Rahman, Raghuvaran, Sarathkumar, and anand Babu. Actresses rekha and sithara played the female leads. Since the first film was a hit, he directed many films in succession, including cheran Pandian, Pondati Rajyam, Sooryan Chandran, Purusha Lakshanam, Nattamaai, Muthu, Avvai Shanmukhi, Pista, and Padayappa. K.S. ravikumar is especially known as the director of the world hero Kamal Haasan and superstar Rajinikanth.
