In such a situation, speculations are being made that if Eknath Shinde does not become the chief minister and there is a cm data-face from bjp, then his son Shrikant Shinde from shiv sena will become the Deputy CM. However, now mp Shrikant Shinde has denied this.

What did Shrikant Shinde say?

He wrote in Marathi on X, "The swearing-in ceremony of the Mahagathbandhan government has been slightly delayed and at the moment there are a lot of discussions and rumors about it. Acting chief minister Eknath Shinde went to his village for two days due to ill health and rested. Hence the rumours grew. For the last two days, this news is being given with a question mark that I will become the Deputy Chief Minister. Actually there is no truth in this and all the news about my post of Deputy chief minister is baseless.'' Shrikant Shinde said, ''After the lok sabha elections, I got a chance to become a minister in the central government. But thinking of working for the party organization, I refused the ministerial post even then. I have no desire for a position in power. Let me make it clear once again that I am not in the race for any ministerial post in the state.''
