Last weekend saw the release of Zebra, Devaki Nandana Vasudeva, and Mechanic rocky by Vishwak Sen. Regretfully, all three opened to a lackluster reception and made little impression at the box office. Fans and the business were shocked when even Mechanic rocky, starring Vishwak Sen, who was the minimal guarantee, failed to attract audiences to theaters. Though still not very good, Mechanic rocky had somewhat better reviews than the other two. However, Vishwak Sen may be facing a major catastrophe with this picture, as the mediocre reviews did not transfer into box office success.
Some people liked Zebra's original idea, but viewers were confused by its clumsy implementation. Even the morning performances of Devaki Nandana Vasudeva were postponed in a number of venues, making it a total washout. None of these films were able to create much buzz among moviegoers, even with good marketing. According to critics, one of the main reasons for their terrible performance could have been the time of its release. Many point out that diwali hits like Lucky Baskhar and Amaran continue to captivate viewers.
Additionally, the current state of the box office appears to be negative for other films, especially with the highly anticipated pushpa 2 only two weeks away. With little interest in other releases, the audiences seem to be in a trance over pushpa 2 and are conserving their time and money just for it. Although there is some validity to this argument, the complete disregard for these films suggests they were doomed from the start. Viewers showed little discernible interest in the trailers, music, promotions, or other elements.
