Dasara Box Office - Horrible Miscalculations!

G GOWTHAM
This dasara weekend, tollywood saw a frenzy of new releases with several new outings, as is typical during festival seasons. Viswam, Janaka Aithe Ganaka, Maa Nanna Superhero, and the dubbed movie Vettaiyan were among the films that were released at the box office. There's a fascinating insight circulating in this context, since most people agree that these films might have been published separately rather than coming together.

The dasara season was crowded with three new films, the long-running Devara, and the dubbed Vetaiyan, and this only proved to be disastrous for the three films in question. Viswam, Janaka, and Maa Nanna might have chosen to be released separately rather than all three showing together at once. Until the diwali season, which is a few weekends away, they might have gladly taken advantage of the dead air that is presently being noticed at the box office.

Any one of the three aforementioned films may have had greater exposure and a better chance at the box office if they had postponed their release and debuted this weekend. This type of error in judgment is what destroys a movie. The audience is critical enough to evaluate a movie on its own merits rather than just because it's a holiday weekend. Therefore, by avoiding the dasara frenzied rush, these movies—especially Janaka and Maa Nanna—could have chosen a free release. Due to their poor word-of-mouth and lack of visibility, all of these films ultimately failed to make an impression.
