Accordingly Maharashta deputy chief minister ajit pawar will go up against his own nephew Yugendra Pawar in Baramati for the upcoming assembly elections as the ncp (SP) released its first list on Thursday. Yugendra’s candidature against his uncle is a bold move, considering the pocket borough of the undivided ncp only recently witnessed a family battle between mp supriya sule and Sunetra Pawar, who is Ajit Pawar’s wife. Notably, Sunetra, who polled 5,73,979 votes in the parliamentary constituency in pune district, lost to her sister-in-law who got 7,32,312 votes.

Perhaps Yugendra is the son of Ajit’s younger brother Shrinivas. Others in the ncp (SP) list included state chief Jayant Patil (Islampur), Jitendra Awhad (Mumbra-Kalwa), Anil Deshmukh (Katol), Harshvardhan Patil (Indapur) and late RR Patil’s son Rohit Patil who is making a debut (Tasgaon-Kavthemahankal).

Moreover ajit pawar will data-face his nephew Yugendra Pawar who has been fielded by the sharad pawar led ncp in Baramati, once again making it a contest among the family members, which was also witnessed in the lok sabha Elections. Yugendra is the son of Ajit Pawar’s brother srinivas Pawar, who currently serves as the treasurer of Baramati-based vidya Pratisthan Sanstha. However, Ajit Pawar’s ncp data-faced a setback in the 2024 lok sabha elections when his wife Sunetra Pawar was defeated by his cousin supriya sule from Sharad Pawar’s ncp by a margin of over 158,000 votes.
