Chinese home appliances retailer Haier (HAIER) is planning to tie up with a company in india to sell their products. Haier is a Chinese multinational home appliance and electronics retailer. The company currently manufactures products in china and sells them in India. Meanwhile, Haier, which plans to expand its business in india, plans to give 49 percent shares to an indian company and manufacture and sell these products in India. Even recently, MG Motor Company has similarly tied up with JSW Group to sell their electric cars in India. Foreign companies have to pay various taxes to import and sell their products in India.
That is, under the Make in india scheme, if you manufacture and sell in india, you will get various benefits. But the condition is that indian companies should have a certain amount of shares in it. And since Haier is a Chinese company, it is not easy to get permission from the central government. Haier india is India's third largest retailer of home appliances after lg and Samsung. The company has decided to sell about 49 percent of its holdings to an indian company as it plans to work with indian companies on the instructions of Citigroup.
Haier is said to want to be the first indian company that process their application and get the central government's approval as quickly as possible. There are also reports that Haier has said that it does not want big companies like Tata, Godrej, and Reliance. In india, Haier has to compete with companies like lg and Samsung. As far as india is concerned, Haier has sold its products worth Rs 6350 crore in 2023. 17 percent higher than the previous year. With this, Haier has earned a profit of 154 crores. In 2022, it is said to be a profitable company in one year, from a loss of 63 crore rupees. Haier is also said to be planning to set up its manufacturing plant in Greater Noida, Pune, Andhra Pradesh, and tamil Nadu in India.
