Police Probing 'Khalistani Link' In Blast Near CRPF school In Delhi

Teams from the National Investigation Agency, National Security Guard, Central Reserve police Force, and delhi police cordoned off the area and forensic experts collected samples from the site.

After a strong blast ripped through a wall of the CRPF school in Rohini's prashant vihar area on sunday morning, police suspect that the perpetrators wanted to send a message to the authorities.

Teams from the National Investigation Agency (NIA), National Security Guard (NSG), Central Reserve police Force (CRPF), and delhi police cordoned off the area and forensic experts collected samples from the site.

Police said they were probing a possible Khalistani link to the incident after a post circulating on social media claimed that the explosion was in retaliation to the targeting of pro-Khalistan separatists allegedly by indian agents, PTI reported.

"If indian coward agency and their master think they can hire filthy goons to target our members to silence our voice then they live in fools world. They can't imagine how close we are to them and how capable we are to strike anytime #KhalistanZindabad #JLI," the Justice League india said in the post along with a clip.

White Powder Samples Sent To the Lab

Samples of "white powder" and soil collected from the spot were sent to the laboratory to ascertain the bomb's composition.

"The white powder could be a mixture of ammonium nitrate and chloride," a senior police officer said.

The officer said the perpetrator "intentionally" selected the spot to not harm the people but to send a message. CCTV footage of the delhi blast that rocked rohini on sunday morning has gone viral. The video shows a two-wheeler passing through the area minutes before the incident.

A woman living in the area described the blast as an "earthquake-like" shock and said her house was about 200-250 meters away from the site.
