According to report telangana minister Konda surekha on thursday took back her words against the regional film industry and her remarks on the divorce of actors samantha Ruth Prabhu and naga Chaitanya, saying her off-the-cut remarks were a ‘slip of the tongue’. However, she stood by her comments on senior Bharat Raksha Samithi (BRS) leader KT Rama Rao. Meanwhile when responding to the massive row over her recent remarks, she said, “I have no personal agenda against anyone. I made an off-the-cuff remark. It was a slip of the tongue. I am disheartened to see the sharp reactions to my statement. I am taking back my words regarding what I said about the film industry.”

Perhaps Surekha’s statement comes hours after KT Rama Rao sent a legal notice to telangana minister Konda Surekha. In his notice, Rao demanded that surekha should retract her statement and issue a public apology within 24 hours. He also warned that failure to comply would lead to legal action, including defamation and criminal cases. Konda surekha claimed that KT Rama Rao demanded that samantha be sent to him in exchange for sparing nagarjuna Akkineni’s N-Convention Centre from demolition.

Moreover according to surekha, when samantha refused, it led to her separation from naga Chaitanya. surekha said “KTR asked to send samantha in return for not demolishing the N-convention centre. nagarjuna forced samantha to go to KTR, but she said no. That led to divorce”.
