Despite receiving well-known endorsements, Kamala harris is having trouble getting the indian American vote in the US election. Despite being the first indian American to be nominated for president, Kamala harris finds it difficult to win over many indian Americans. This is in part because in her previous presidential campaigns, she failed to get any primary votes despite her well-known status. The Democratic party has always been favored by indian Americans, but recent changes are undermining this pattern.

Hindus for America First is a new organization that is aiming to win over Hindu Americans to the republican party in crucial battleground states. It is a supporter of Donald Trump. According to data, the percentage of indian Americans—mostly Hindus—who favor trump is rising. In the 2024 elections, 29% of them would say they will vote for him, up from only 16% in 2016. Concerns regarding employment, the economy, education, and crime are among the concerns that the indian American community data-faces. Trump's economic ideas, which promise tax breaks and employment development, have drawn support from those indian Americans who were dissatisfied with inflation and job statistics under the Biden-Harris government.

Democratic unhappiness is also fueled by growing crime rates and educational policies, all of which are partially blamed on progressive policies. The way the Biden-Harris administration has handled COVID-19 regulations and free speech concerns has also caused annoyance. According to certain indian Americans, the government has violated people's rights and disregarded the fundamentals of free expression. Relations have become even more tense as a result of anti-Hindu sentiments and disagreements with indian policy. Some indian American voters have been disenchanted with the Biden administration due to controversies like Kamala Harris's remarks on kashmir and the government's ties to particular organizations.
