Mumbai: Traffic Changes in Bandra for Mount Mary Church Fair
Mumbai traffic authorities have announced traffic restrictions around Mount Mary Church in Bandra West in anticipation of the annual fair starting this Sunday. These measures will be in effect until september 16. The Mount Mary Fair, which attracts thousands of devotees to the church, will necessitate these changes, according to an official statement.
During the fair, Mount Mary Road will be closed to all vehicles except for those belonging to local residents with police-issued car passes and emergency vehicles, from 6 a.m. to 11 a.m. Kane Road will operate as a one-way street from its intersection with Mount Mary Road. Pereira Road will also be one-way, and St. john Baptista Road will be closed to all traffic except for local residents with special passes.The Mount Mary Fair will be celebrated in the Bandra area where lakhs of devotees will visit the church, an official said.
Parking or stopping vehicles, except for brief passenger pick-ups or drop-offs, will be prohibited on both sides of Mount Mary Road, Pereira Road, Kane Road, Hill Road, Carmel Road, Chapel Road, john Baptista Road, St. Sebastian Road, Rebello Road, Peter Dias Road, and Paul Road, the official added.
