The report indicates that hyderabad ranks as the second most preferred city for jobseekers after Bengaluru, with a notable interest in relocation. While 35% of BFSI GCCs are located in multiple sites, about 18% have a presence in three or more locations. Careernet's report, titled "The Landscape of Active Talent Pool with Skills in Demand for BFSI GCCs in India," provides detailed insights into this sector.
Over 50% of BFSI GCCs employ more than 1,000 people, and around 15% have a workforce exceeding 10,000. The report, released in July, integrates data from Careernet, job portals, career sites of major employers, and expert opinions to assess the availability of skilled talent across various domains and experience levels.
The report’s analysis, based on a sample of 241,623 jobseekers, maps the talent supply against the skills needed by BFSI GCCs. It highlights that American multinationals dominate the BFSI GCC landscape in India, with two-thirds of these centres being American-owned. These centres operate on a large scale, with more than 50% employing over 1,000 people and 15% having over 10,000 employees.
Approximately 35% of BFSI GCCs are present in multiple locations, and about 18% have operations in three or more cities. Key domains for active job seekers include Technology, Analytics, NextGen, Infrastructure, Functional, and Operations, with specific roles such as Full Stack Developers, Data Scientists, Blockchain Experts, and Cyber Security Engineers in high demand.
Bengaluru remains the top destination for BFSI GCCs, featuring a robust talent pool where 26% of jobseekers possess the sought-after skills. Following Bengaluru, Pune, hyderabad, and chennai are also prominent cities for talent in this sector. Delhi/NCR, Mumbai, and other cities contribute to the remaining talent pool.
Hyderabad is increasingly becoming the second most popular city for BFSI professionals looking to move, showing its growing importance in the industry after Bengaluru.
