Smriti Irani on Rahul Gandhi's 'changed' politics

Former Union minister and bjp leader smriti irani gave the fiercest criticism of her arch-rival rahul gandhi, stating that he feels he has "tasted success" and is now using a different kind of political maneuvering.

Irani stated in a recent podcast interview that "he's aware of what kind of message it sends to the youth when he talks about caste and when he wears a white T-shirt in Parliament."

The gandhi scion allegedly employs "calculated moves" to appeal to particular groups, according to Irani. Gandhi's method of attack should not be underestimated, the speaker said, adding, "So we shouldn't be under the misconception about his actions – whether you find them good, bad, or childish – they are a different kind of politics."

The bjp leader also used the occasion to attack the congress party's previous attempts at what has been called "soft Hindutva," citing Gandhi's well-publicized temple run in the build-up to the election.

Irani contended that people were unimpressed and viewed these initiatives with skepticism. She also asserted that Gandhi's recent political triumph was a direct result of this "unsuccessful" strategy.

The visits to temples by rahul gandhi had little effect. It turned to become the joke's butt. Some thought it was dishonest. Therefore, they turned to caste problems to gain traction when this method failed, according to Irani.

Irani claims that these actions are a part of a larger plan to keep gandhi relevant in indian politics.

Gandhi's recent contentious comment on the dearth of Dalit or Adivasi participants in Miss india was exploited by the former Amethi mp to accuse gandhi of adopting inflammatory words to maintain his public image.

"He continues to say things like that on social media even though he is aware that Miss india has nothing to do with creating the government. since it garners media attention," she remarked.

Irani cast doubt on Gandhi's worldview, arguing that his words are more the product of a well-thought-out plan than of sincere convictions. "These are not his beliefs, this is all just part of a strategy," she said.
