In a courtroom drama that seemed to have more twists than a bollywood thriller, the supreme court on tuesday decided to keep the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) UG 2024 examination right where it was. Imagine a scene: Chief Justice D.Y. Chandrachud and Justices J.B. Pardiwala and Manoj Misra, donning their judicial robes, saying, "Nope, this exam is staying put!" They emphadata-sized that there was no evidence of a "systemic breach," as reported by Live Law. It's like the judiciary equivalent of "nothing to see here, folks."
On Monday, the bench took a detour, almost like a detective subplot, and ordered the director of IIT delhi to put together a three-member committee to solve the mystery of a Physics question that had caused quite a stir—44 candidates scored perfect marks because of it! Imagine Sherlock Holmes, but with a PhD in Physics.
After some serious brainwork, the expert team concluded that option four was the right answer. Chief Justice Chandrachud, in a moment of courtroom suspense, revealed, “We got the report. Expert team is of the opinion that option four is correct. Statement two is incorrect because atoms of radioactive material are not stable.” It was like a dramatic reveal in a courtroom drama where the true answer finally comes to light.
With the counselling process set to kick off the very next day, this ruling was as timely as a cliffhanger resolution. The NTA has now been directed to revise the results, acknowledging that option four is indeed the hero of this story.
So, dear NEET aspirants, gear up for counselling with the confidence that the supreme court has your back—and your Physics answers!
