Trump says he felt bullet rip through his ear after attacker opened fire at rally

According to a statement from Allegheny General Hospital, two patients were hurt during today's trump event in Butler County, Pennsylvania. The conditions of both individuals are serious. According to his team, donald trump will go to the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee the following week as scheduled.
At the convention, trump is expected to be formally announced as the Republican Party's presidential nominee. The event starts on Monday, and he also intends to unveil his choice for vice president at that time. Following the incident, the campaign claims that trump is "doing well" and is "grateful to law enforcement and first responders".

Donald trump says he was "shot with a bullet that pierced the upper part of my right ear".
"I knew immediately that something was wrong in that I heard a whizzing sound, shots, and immediately felt the bullet ripping through the skin." the former president posted on his Truth Social account.
"Much bleeding took place, so I realized then what was happening."

The former president thanks the Secret service and other law enforcement "for their rapid response on the shooting that just took place".
"Most importantly, I want to extend my condolences to the family of the person at the rally who was killed, and also to the family of another person that was badly injured," he says in the post.
"It is incredible that such an act can take place in our country. Nothing is known at this time about the shooter, who is now dead," he adds.
He ends the post with, "GOD BLESS AMERICA!"
