Anirudh Ravichander, a
tamil music director, is having
success in his career. His background score has led to several films becoming popular. But he surprised everyone by doing a subpar
job on a well-directed
movie that also happens to be a sequel to a famous movie. Reactions to Anirudh's soundtrack and background score for
indian 2 are terribly negative.
While it was believed that Anirudh would fall short of AR Rahman, who wrote the
music for the original
indian in 1996, none saw Anirudh's performance as appalling as it did. Discussions on his next projects, particularly the
telugu movie Devara starring
ntr, have been triggered by this right away.
The song "Fear" by Devara has been published thus far. Even if it isn't everyone's favourite or a chartbuster, it has garnered some excellent reviews on its own merit. Soon, the second single will be available. Positive reviews for the second song might mean that there isn't much debate or scepticism regarding his work.
Since Anirudh is viewed as a potent addition to Devara,
indian 2 might be considered as a setback for Devara. But the criticism of his work on
indian 2 could lessen the excitement surrounding Devara's song a little. The fans of
ntr are hopeful that Anirudh would offer good songs and background
music for Devara and that
indian 2 is merely an isolated misfire.
