Hyderabad - Why Gopanpally flyover not opened to Public?

Former MA&UD minister K.T. Rama Rao chastised the government for not allowing the people to use the Gopanpally flyover even after construction was finished. He insisted that it be opened right away, claiming that the BRS administration was the ones who started the project.

In a tweet on Friday, he wrote, “This is what happens when we have an inept government and clueless leadership! The Gopanpally flyover, initiated by the BRS government to bring relief to residents around Nallagandla, Gopanpally, tellapur, and Chandanagar, was completed a few months ago. But even today, it is awaiting inauguration because cm is busy shuttling between bosses in delhi and the houses of BRS legislators.”
Adding that the congress government is prioritizing their personal PR over the convenience of the people, he warned that the people might throw it open themselves.

The Gopanpally flyover, which was built for about Rs. 18 crore, has been finished for a few weeks, but it hasn't been made public yet. The authorities don't appear to be finalising an inauguration date, even though the inhabitants have made several requests.

There are two departure ramps from the facility, one leading towards tellapur and the other towards Nallagandla and the university of Hyderabad's back gate, starting at Gopanpally Junction. Because of their close vicinity to the IT cluster, these regions have seen an increase in growth. To handle the increasing volume of vehicles, the Roads and Buildings (R&B) department built this 0.5 km one-way flyover.
