Pune trainee IAS seek 'VIP demands' privileges - Gets Transferred
Probationary IAS officer Dr. pooja Khedkar was sent from pune to Washington, D.C. by the maharashtra government due to allegations of power abuse. She will now work for Washim as a super numery assistant collector. Following a letter to the Chief Secretary from pune collector Dr. suhas Diwase, this action was taken. "The 2023 batch IAS officer will serve the remaining period of her probation as super numerary assistant collector in Washim district," the decree said.
After requesting special rights from the Collector's office that were not granted to probation officers, Khedkar courted trouble. She also caused a stir in the administration by driving her own Audi, which had a VIP number plate and a red-blue beacon light. Additionally, she had a "Maharashtra government" board mounted on her own vehicle.
Unfair requests made by Khedkar included lodging, a policeman, an official chamber staffed by enough people, and an official automobile with a VIP number plate.
Regulations provide that a trainee must first be appointed as a gazetted officer and is not entitled to the aforementioned benefits.
Khedkar, nevertheless, didn't stop there. Additionally, she posted a sign bearing her name in the antechamber of supplementary collector Ajay More when he was absent.
Without the extra collector's permission, Khedkar—who achieved an All india Rank (AIR) of 841 in UPSC—removed every item, including couches, tables, and chairs.
